Une femme nous raconte son histoire. Une histoire terrible… Tour of Duty est composé de trois récits – trois portraits de femmes coréennes, dont deux ont été assignées au « réconfort » des soldats américains dans un camp militaire pendant la guerre, et la troisième est née d’une de ces liaisons forcées. Les cinéastes inventent pour chacune d’elles un dispositif filmique, captant la douleur de ces vies brisées au milieu des ruines du camp, bientôt rasé. — A woman tells us her awful story. Tour of Duty has three narratives: three portraits of Korean women, two of whom were assigned to « comfort » Americansoldiers on their base during the Korean War, and a third who was conceived through the forced pairings. For each woman, the filmmakers create a filmic device to capture the pain of their broken lives amidst the ruins of the soon-to-be-razed camp.
