1860. Alors que l’Alaska et la Finlande font partie de l’empire russe, le frère du gouverneur finlandais de l’Alaska achète une fillette indienne de huit ans pour la rendre libre quand elle aura atteint l’âge adulte. À son retour en Finlande, il emmène l’enfant avec lui. Tsamo doit se séparer de son pays pour devenir un objet exotique ballotté parmi des inconnus. Face à ces bouleversements, l’enfant se réfugie dans les croyances de son peuple. — 1860. Alaska and Finland are part of the Russian Empire. The brother of the Alaskan Governor buys an eight-year-old Alaskan Native American girl to release her when she attains adulthood. After his return to Finland, he takes the girl with him. Tsamo must part from her country to become an exotic object shifted around strangers. To face these upheavals, the child finds comfort in her people’s believes.
