The young Daya lives a difficult exitence in her small Indonesian village, forsaked by her father and choked by her ultra-protective mother. The two women clash and admire themselves at the same time. But one day, a vagrant with the familiar face will upset their life. Daya challenges the rigid boundaries set by her mother, as she attempts to claim her own identity. Escaping into her imaginary world, she often dreams of seeing her long lost father.
