Synopsis

Managua, aujourd’hui. Yuma veut être boxeuse. Dans son quartier pauvre, les gangs luttent pour le contrôle de la rue. Chez elle, le manque d’amour dicte sa loi. Le ring, l’énergie, l’agilité des pieds et des mains, sont ses rêves et sa seule option. Une rue, un vol, Yuma rencontre Ernesto, étudiant en journalisme, un garçon qui vient de l’autre côté de la ville. Ils sont différents, mais tombent amoureux, attirés l’un par l’autre comme deux pôles opposés. Cependant, les inégalités qui les séparent les transforment rapidement en adversaires.

Managua, today. Yuma wants to be a boxer. In her poor neighborhood, gangs fight for the control of the street. In her home, lovelessness is the name of the game. She dreams of the ring, energy and agile feet and hands. They are also her only options. A street, a theft, and a chance encounter: Yuma meets Ernesto, a journalism student from the other side of the city. Despite their differences, they fall in love, attracted to each other by their shared desire to find their own space in the world. Nevertheless, the inequalities that separate them will tear them apart.
