Michal Vinik est une réalisatrice et scénariste israélienne diplômée de l’Université de Tel-Aviv. Après avoir réalisé deux courts métrages Bait et Srak, elle tourne en 2015 son premier long métrage, Barash. Le film est présenté et primé dans de nombreux festivals internationaux. Valeria Is Getting Married (2022) est son second long métrage.
